Core Live Wallpaper

Privacy Policy

What Core collects, why, and who receives it.

Who we are and what this covers

DrumDestroyer Themes ("we", "us") is an independent Android developer. This policy covers Core Live Wallpaper ("Core"), our live wallpaper app on Google Play. Our icon packs have their own privacy policy.

What we collect

Your collection backup (every install)

The first time you open Core, it creates an anonymous backup account with Supabase, identified only by a random ID. Core uses it to save the wallpapers you've pulled from packs, the collections you've been given for free, how many packs you've opened, and your coin balance, so they can be restored. Unless you sign in, the account isn't linked to your name, email address, or Google account. During sign-in, Supabase also receives your IP address and basic app and device details, which it uses for security and to prevent abuse.

If you sign in with Google (optional)

Signing in links your backup to your Google account, so you can restore it on another phone. Google shares your name, email address, profile picture link, and a Google account ID with Core, and they're stored with your backup account at Supabase. We use them only to find your backup again. We never see your Google password.

If you buy something

Collections and Core Pro are paid through Google Play. Core receives a record of what you bought so it can unlock it and restore it later. That record stays on your phone and with Google; we don't store it, and we never see your card or payment details. Google Play's billing software also sends Google technical information about purchase attempts, under Google's privacy policy.

If you use the Weather plugin (optional)

You type a place name. Your phone turns it into map coordinates, and Core sends those coordinates to Pirate Weather to get the forecast. Core never reads your device's location.

When wallpapers load

Wallpaper images and catalogue files are hosted with Cloudinary and Supabase. As with any web request, loading them sends your IP address and basic device information to the host, which may keep it in standard server logs. These requests aren't tied to your backup account.

What stays on your device

  • Your own photos. When you use a photo as a wallpaper, you choose it with Android's photo picker, and Core keeps a copy inside the app on your phone. It's never uploaded.
  • Settings and creations. Your effects, playlists, saved filters, and other settings are stored on your phone only.
  • Sensors. Wallpaper effects and the optional Sensor Tools plugin read your phone's motion and light sensors on the phone. Nothing from the sensors leaves it.
  • Permissions. Core asks to show notifications only to open story and field-guide cards when you tap your wallpaper, and to remind you of your daily coin. "Display over other apps" is used only to draw the optional pull-down capsule; Core never reads what's on your screen.

What we don't collect

Your phone number, contacts, messages, files, or audio; your device's location; your browsing or health data. Core shows no ads and doesn't use an advertising ID.

How we use it

  • To back up and restore your collection.
  • To find your backup again when you sign in.
  • To unlock and restore your purchases (on your phone).
  • To show the weather, if you use the Weather plugin.
  • To keep our services secure and prevent abuse.

We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or build profiles.

Who receives it

We only use service providers needed to run Core. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:

  • Supabase: your backup account and backup data; the wallpaper catalogue and some images.
  • Google: Sign in with Google, only if you sign in; Google Play for purchases.
  • Cloudinary: wallpaper image delivery.
  • Pirate Weather: forecast coordinates, only if you use the Weather plugin.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long it's kept

  • Backup account and its data: until you delete them. Uninstalling doesn't delete your backup, because we can't tell when an app is uninstalled.
  • On-device data: until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
  • Server logs: kept by Supabase, Cloudinary, and Pirate Weather under their own retention policies.

Your choices

  • Delete your backup in the app: Settings → Sign in → Delete my backup. This permanently deletes your backup account and everything in it, and turns backup off until you sign in again. The wallpapers on your phone stay.
  • Or ask us: email info@drumdestroyerthemes.com. See Delete your backup for details.
  • Don't sign in, or don't use the Weather plugin, and that data is never sent.
  • Clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall Core, to remove everything on your phone.

If you're in a region with privacy rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, use the same address to exercise them. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

Children

Core isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used Core in a way that collected their data, email us and we'll help.

Security

Everything Core sends travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Backup data is protected by access rules that let each account read and write only its own records.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we'll say so in the updated policy.
